INTRODUCTION TO ACCOUNTING
REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 1
In the first semester of my degree program, we were introduced to the module named ‘Introduction to Accounting’. I found this module to be extremely helpful because it goes more in-depth on the basics of accounting than what I had learned before. This module teaches me how to do some basic accounting information of a company such as financial statement and balance sheet; and this will definitely assists me when I am running my own company in the future because I can now understand better the financial position of my company and its cash flow; and fulfill the legal requirements.
MID-TERM TEST REFLECTIVE JOURNAL
Weeks of studies in this module have flown by, and we were asked to take a mid-term test for this module. The test was conducted online and was given a week-long period to complete it. After the test, I felt that this examination is more than just helping us to evaluate our performances but it is also a motivational tool for us to do revision and understand better of what we had studied. Besides, it is also an opportunity for us to have a feel of what to expect from the final examination and thus prepare us for the big day.
REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 3
After 13 weeks, I am now going towards the end of this module and this means that the Final Examination is just around the corner. I realized that I still have a lot of weaknesses that I need to overcome before the day of examination. Memorizing had always been my weak point and therefore, memorizing the 19 formulas for ratio analysis is still a difficult task for me. Besides, the various costing methods still confuses me till’ this day. Hence, to improve myself, I plan to spend more time doing exercises and understand those theories rather than memorizing it to prepare myself for the Final Exam.
